Good Shopify Integration

Pros:

Integration Desktop Shipper with our Shopify store was extremely easy.

Cons:

The documentation is very poor. The last time I was able to access the release notes, they were woefully out of date. Now, the link on the dashboard to the Release Notes brings me to a log in screen and my DesktopShipper credentials do not work there.

Best support

Comments: All in all very user friendly and for the most part easy to navigate. And for those few times you can't figure it out the AMAZING support is there to help

The "bulk update" to change an order from active to shipped or cancel

Great Cloud Based Shipping Software

Comments: We are able to get more orders out the door because of the ease to batch print like shipments. We are currently shipping 5,000-10,000 orders daily through desktop shipper.

Pros:

Pros: Ability to batch print 500+ orders relatively with ease, rate shop feature is excellent, the support team is great and very helpful with customizing certain features

Cons:

The shipment search functions are a bit wonky and wish it was easier to use.

Best in class Support

Comments: Very good experience. The pricing is fair. They keep up to date with features. And Im always impressed with support. Their employees stay there forever so the turnover is low

Ive been with Desktop Shipper since 2009. They have been able to accommodate my evolving needs as I changed business models entirely. The support is top notch

Cons:

I do wish there was more features for a 3PL like me but I do understand why there isnt.

Dynamic Shipping Rate Shopper for Optimal Flow

Comments: Overall, our experience has been great. Whenever we need to add or modify a shipping provider, their support team is always able to assist within a few minutes during business hours.

Pros:

The ability to rate shop across all shipping providers is the biggest strength of this software.

Cons:

The one by one generating of labels can be a bit slower than a traditional batch label system, but it is also more accurate for dynamic rate shopping.

Solid shipping platform

Comments: Good. 3.5-4 stars is fair. They have allowed us to operate our business, but we are continually looking for something that would offer functionality even if our connection goes down.

Pros:

Fairly reliable, lots of integrations to various shipping platforms and fairly customizable

Cons:

It is challenging to get someone on the support team that can help. We don't have a clear escalation path when something goes wrong and we need assistance immediately. Documentation for APIs is lacking and little support documentation to go with it. For DesktopShipper to work, you need an internet connection. If something happens and you can't connect, you can't ship. Requires us to push orders up to them constantly, and we had to be creative on how to configure our products.

Great software. Great staff

Comments: It's been a great experience so far! Staff are great! Would be great if we could have a blacklist of addresses. example: If address line one = x, do y (ie, don't rate shop, send error)

Pros:

Rate shopping, quickly, semi auto. Pulls order info from neato quickly.

Cons:

More users = more money. can't setup workstations on my own. Address data is stripped too soon.

Great People - Great Product

Pros:

the web portal is great, the people and support are great. attentive and care about what they are doing. almost relentless about their level of care. keeps hounding you until your issues are fixed. thats the best part.

Cons:

less customization on actual shipping labels.

Still on Legacy

Comments: Very positive overall experience. Over the past 8 years, we have shipped over 600,000 parcels using this software. For a large shipping operation I would highly recommend desktop shipper. If you are not going to customize the rate shopping feature and tie in with a digital scale this software is definitely overkill for you.

Pros:

The rate shopping feature saves a lot of time and money. It is also a compact interface that is very easy to use. It is easy to get new employee up to speed, and ensures items are shipped with the correct postage class.

Cons:

It connects to most scales instantly, but we had the misfortune of buying scales which were not as common, and it took some time to get the hardware working. But the Desktop Shipper staff was professional and able to get our scales working eventually.

Pros:

I like that I can change addressses or shipping options for order with complete ease.

Cons:

That the tracking numbers are only on the website for 2-3 months since I do a alot of international shipping, 2-3 months can be a timeline.

D&D Global review

Comments: Overall I am pleased. Like everything, there is always progress that could be made, but it has helped us grow more efficient in our shipping.

Pros:

Compared to pacejet, Desktop shipping is faster to train people how to use. Also i allows for customizations beyond that of the previous software.

Cons:

communication back and forth with netsuite can take some time to get the bugs worked out. It has been over a year, and we are still working on a few.

Comments: DesktopShipper has enabled us to save money by knowing exactly how much a shipment will cost, and by immediately being able to see what is the cheapest shipping method based on the shipping rules we have implemented in the software. It makes shipping a very easy process for new employees. DesktopShipper has a team of wonderful staff that are willing to help us overcome any obstacles we face with shipping. Highly recommended.

I like the ease of use and integration into our marketplaces. It's great to have immediate support if it is needed.

Comments: It handles all my needs and it is so far the best with giving correct rates for international shipping.

Pros:

Very easy to use and integrates with Stone Edge Software

So far so good but it sometimes lets me ship a prodluct without filing the order.

Desktop Shipper is great once you learn the system

- too many quirks, i.e. there can't be commas in certain columns or there has to be data in certain places even if redundant. Error message will pop up but won't inform user of what the error is. -software needs to be more flexible

Exactly what we were looking for!

Comments: Shout out to Customer service! The representative made implementation easy. Her patients with me and my questions is commendable. Her follow up kept me on track.

Pros:

What I like most about this software is the software's ability to choose shipper and service upon scanning and weighing the order. Especially useful choosing DHL Global Mail Expedited vs. DHL Global Mail Expedited Plus shipping.

Cons:

I've not found anything I dislike or like least about this software.
