Great bang for the buck

Comments: Being a registered rep it is essential that my data is protected.
Folder lock allows me to have multiple protection for my device.
It works so well that even Microsoft couldn't "crack" it.

Pros:

Very easy to set up, implement and maintain.

Cons:

Sometimes the auto protection feature fails to "kick in" so I routinely activate when I leave my office.

Folder lock is a must for your phone

Comments: I don't carry my wallet with cards everywhere... That says it all

Pros:

1) Easy to use ( no instruction needed) 2) Robust. Locks user out if password is not right 3) offers local or Cloud versions 4) Keeps vital documents that should to be exposed to public safe. 5) reasonably priced for a lifetime of support

Cons:

Can be more secure in completely erasing the folder or locking it without master PW if 5 attempts fail. More so for mobile devices

When it works well, it is excellent

Comments: Folder Lock has helped me add an extra layer of security to my files. Especially since I have Windows 10 home and don't have access to BitLocker. It was a cheaper solution for me than upgrading to Windows 10 Pro.

Pros:

The software is very easy to use. The interface makes a lot of sense and you don't need to be an IT Expert to use. I like that I can choose to simply lock a file or, for greater security, encrypt it.

Cons:

I get frequent messages telling that my lockers are corrupt, after which the locker won't open again unless I exit the software, then re-start my computer. The first time it happened, it scared me to death because I thought I had lost everything I put into my locker. But I have always been able to re-open my locker after re-starting the computer. I just don't think I should have to do that. Was a little put off by the e-mail support person, who really came across as not caring about my problem - had a sense that he or she really didn't want to be bothered. I wasn't crazy about that.

Value For Money

Comments: It helped me to hide important documents in the offucial laptop where it was used by my secreatory.

Pros:

It helped me to hide my private photos and videos from my family

Cons:

You cant use this for other device , It whould be better if it could be used for another device in case of device stolen.

Comments: overall file lock makes my files secured so it can never be opened by someone without me .

Pros:

its makes our file secure and saved passwords as it is never been forgotten . we can rely on this software and makes our encrypted files more saver by coating security of this software.

Cons:

nothing to change as it is already have all the features for making a software to been used daily without any discomfort.

Peace of Mind is Mine

Comments: Frankly, I wonder how I existed before I found it. I am so used to locking and hiding, shredding, saving my files and information that I feel sorry for those who don't have it yet.

Pros:

I love that I can lock my folders and the information within them and not worry about it again.I love being able to hide them as well! As a freelancer, I have many folders with sensitive information, project ideas, book outlines, etc. I want to know that nobody can hack in and get those ideas. It is not common, but it does happen. it is also great that I can save and secure passwords with this software.

Cons:

For me the learning curve was a bit stiff, but that might have been just me. Once I learned to navigate and all the things the software is capable of doing, it was amazing!

Comments: Our team uses it to protect confidential files and so far it is doing its job orderly.

Pros:

Folder Lock is super easy to operate and setup. I am fond of its feature to encrypt files individually and it also allows us to create several lockers according to our use. It works splendidly and always stays in stealth mode, so if anyone else is accessing my computer they won't even know that it's there.

Cons:

Folder Lock is loaded with all the features. However, there is still no option for biometric protection.

Great product, lousy customer backup when stuck

Comments: Overall I'd say 50/50 only due to the lousy customer service backup being very unhelpful. Not long after installing my version, I had Folder Lock REALLY hide some folders by making them TOTALLY DISAPPEAR!!! After several emails requesting HELP!! there was no solution forthcoming that worked. (Which was explained in detail in my responses). They did not have a grasp on the severity of my problem and the gravity that went with it. All my sensitive business and private documents and folders were not able to be seen for over two months! I kid you not!! For all the corresponding between the two parties, they really seemed to be quite blaisé and devil-may-care type of attitude. I was ropeable! They even had the audacity to ask me to 'reinstall your Windows operating system' which would have wiped the whole computer's data, including that which was 'hidden'. The only way out in the end was to take my PC to a professional computer technician, pay a couple of hundred dollars and get the thing working again. Unbelievable lack of concern shown throughout. This whole ordeal left me terribly upset and shaken to be honest. (I still have original emails if needed as proof if needed).

Pros:

It is unbreakable. Always works. Trust the SOFTWARE totally.

Cons:

Quite lengthy learning curve to obtain useful level of competence to use it. If you use it to hide larger size folders and drives, ie. 2gb or more, it takes a very long time to open and let you start working. Probably three to four minute's wait time. Not good when time is off the essence.

Complete Secret Solution!

Comments: Folderlock is an awesome product from Newsoftwares! To be honest, At first I was not sure of this.
But the performance and feature blew my mind out! They have may features. Apart from buggy UI, everything is awesome.
Personally I like the stealth mode more than anything!
Master password is awesome One stop solution for the thing!
They have an option to save our USB stick, something like box inside a box. privacy wins with folder load( I've also shredded my files Don't tell anyone)

Pros:

I like Camouflage mode aka stealth mode!

Cons:

Old User Interface.! buggy navigation. Their license is bit messy! if someone stole your key from you.! it will get blacklisted!

Best Folder Security I’ve Ever Used

Comments: I have tried some of the free software security programs on the internet and they’re okay but not great. This software has been everything I wanted in a security package. I’m glad I spent the money to get it.

Pros:

What I like most about this software is it’s ease of use and the password security protocol. Locking and unlocking the folders is really easy and requires only one click of the mouse after you’ve entered your password. I use it on my PC and I created a twenty-nine character password. I felt that I needed an extra long password to ensure that it would be very difficult to break into. I was surprised that it allowed me to use such a long password. I realize that nothing is unbreakable but someone will have to try extra hard to break mine.

Cons:

I honestly can’t think of anything I didn’t like about this software.

Exactly what I needed!

Pros:

This program was very easy to install and setup. I like that I can encrypt individual files, and I can create multiple "lockers" that securely store those files. I can erase my Windows "tracks" with one click, and the empty disc space shredder is super-fast! (There will be one temp file that needs to be erased after the shredding operation, but it really works well.) Folder Lock also has a backup/restore function, but I have not used that. One really cool feature is that you can copy your "locker(s)" to a jump drive, then they are converted to executables so that you can securely take them with you. There are other attributes to the program that I have not used (such as protecting email attachments and password wallets, but those are not the reason that I bought this software. I purchased this software so that I could securely lock (hide) sensitive files/folders. Folder Lock works perfectly for this. But you must remember your password! If you lose it, you are sunk!! Oh yeah, and probably my favorite feature is that Folder Lock runs in Stealth Mode! It does not show to be running anywhere if you set it up that way! I am super-satisfied with this program (and its sister program USB Lock! They are both worth every cent I spent on them!

Cons:

The only con would be that it is difficult to find Folder Lock in stealth mode if your secret key combination does not work for whatever reason. (I think I run into this if it has been a couple of days or more since I have called the program up.)

Secure and Safe....

Comments: I use Folder lock for keeping documents and other data in a secure folder

Pros:

It is user-friendly but safe and secure. It not only locks folder but also hides it. I like its locking sound.

Cons:

Sometimes after locking the folder, it does not gets hidden. Its the only problem I have with Folder Lock otherwise Its the best of its kind.

Easy way to encryption

Comments: Good experience with the software and client service

Pros:

It's an easy way to encrypt files, folders and whole hard disks. Works smoothly and it's portable too so you can encrypt USB or folders inside USB devices. Secure file shredding and other useful options

Cons:

When you open an encrypted folder and use files in it, when finishing and trying to close the encrypted folder again it wont work becase some file are still open or working, which it's not the case so it wont let you close it. This may happens because some programs used to open the files keep the link to the file in the back memory. It's an issue definitely.

Folder Lock is what I depend on

Comments: In my business, client data protection is paramount. Folder Lock has enabled me to safeguard my client data at a very reasonable price.

Pros:

Folder Lock ensures that my files are protected through encryption. I also use it to encrypt my flash drives. It's easy to access and works well with Dropbox.

Cons:

I haven't found anything that I don't like about Folder Lock.

Folder Lock- For locking and Hiding

Comments: I have mix opinions about this software. However, it is recommendable software for Folder Locking option when compared to other softwares.

Pros:

I have a big threat to keeping my personal stuff on my office PC until I got to introduce this software. It helps me to lock my files with ease and more secure. Also, I love the features like hiding, encrypting the other basic features of this software. The interface is more simple and easy to handle.

Cons:

However, this Folder Lock shows some basic bugs during the operations. Also, we cant ensure the security of this software and hope more security layers will introduce to stable this software.

Solid Program for File Security

Comments: The program seems to be very reliable in file/folder security - I have been using it for a number of years now.

Pros:

Relatively easy to use and simple user interface.

Cons:

Allocation of hard drive space (partitions) necessary for securing files and folders.

Comments: As one who used to file insurance claims for doctors, I needed secure folder availability to comply with federal law. FolderLock gives me that.

Pros:

I have been using this software for years. And when I changed computers and had to reload Folderlock onto the new computer, support came quickly to the rescue. Another feature I like is that FolderLock automatically locks a folder if the machine happens to be shutdown while my folders are open. This might happen during an automatic update and reboot.

Cons:

In a previous version I wound up one day with files added to my folders, files that had very strange, computer-language characters, and they weren't executable or "deletable". When I reloaded on another machine, they disappeared. No adverse impact; just puzzling.

Folderlock is awesome

Comments: My clients require that I maintain encrypted files on my laptop or portable media. Folderlock exceeds their requirements.

Pros:

1. Easy to download and set up 2. Easy to use on a daily basis 3. 2-layer protection, password and encryption key 4. Easy to move to another computer. Simply download the software and use the same password and encryption key. 5. Never had any problem with files being encrypted or decrypted except as noted in the Cons.

Cons:

There is some conflict with my operating system that will close Folderlock when in sleep mode. Not sure of the cause because it isn't that much of a problem and I have never researched. If I have open files, I need to open Folderlock and SAVE autorecovered files. Its rare and not a big deal.

Review of Folder lock

Comments: My experience about folder lock is wonderful and i feel secure to use this tool.

Pros:

It is very easy software to use and i love to recommend it to others to use it.

Cons:

There is always room for improvement but right now it is good and having good impact over other softwares like this in market.

Waste of money

Comments: This software fixed no problems whatsoever. It did, however, destroy my computer. I'll have to pay several times the cost of this software to have someone repair what this software did.

Pros:

It was cheap. It is very small so the download was very fast.

Cons:

This software destroyed my computer. I'd never gotten a blue screen of death. In the couple hours I tried using this software, I had 2. Every time I moved a folder or file, it would move but it would also freeze my computer beyond what task manager could stop. I literally have to do one operation, hard reboot, another operation, hard reboot... Also (and this may be a drawback of encryption) the software won't allow me to use the shredder feature on encrypted files. So then what is the purpose of it? The file size of the program is a mere 10.43 MB which screams that there is a woeful lack of programming which should make these problems impossible to occur.
