Ease of Automation

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall, our organization has loved Patch Manager Plus. It has helped us stay compliant, secure, and efficiently automate our patching process with no need to have down weekends to run updates since it can all automatically run overnight!

Pros:

The automation of grouping devices and deploying updates was very simple. It was easy to implement throughout our network with adding the application to our imaging process. The ease of use and transparency has helped with updating and troubleshooting so much!

Cons:

If there was something I like least, it would be the errors with the manual uploads. Certain applications, mostly 3rd party applications, don't update easily and will throw off reports.

So far, a great patching tool for my organization.

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: I was about to have a penetration test and all of my servers were missing patches. I started to try to do it manually but after the first one I realized that I needed help. I installed the demo, deployed the agents and in a matter of a few hours had a fully functioning application and was able to deploy patches that evening.

Pros:

PMP has a very intuitive dashboard that helps you get a quick overview of your system status. The deployment policies are easy to configure with alot of pre and post deployment options. The agent is lightweight and easy to deploy and the price is unbeatable.

Cons:

It seamed to have some issues with the patches for Windows Server 2012 R2, but I wouldn't hold that against the product. Our fault for not upgrading these servers to more recent and stable builds.

A Reliable Patch Management Solution

4.0 3 weeks ago New

Pros:

ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus automates the patching process seamlessly, saving time and effort. I really like its ability to handle both OS and third-party application updates, along with detailed reporting for compliance.

Cons:

The initial setup can be time-consuming, and the interface feels slightly outdated. A modernized UI would improve the user experience.

Very useful an powerful tool for updating and security

5.0 last month New

Comments: My overall experience is being very positive. I'm using the cloud version enterprise and having good results in order to maintain the servers and workstations updates. The test and deploy feature allows the process of updating almost with no effort for the technical team. It is indeed a very powerful tool once you setup correctly and have and update policy approved to back you up. We are studying to have the whole suite of endpoint manager to help our customers and client facing the challenges of keeping their systems updated and more secure.

Pros:

Windows Agents are very fast and reliable Pre and After tasks could save a lot of time when you talking about rollback and debugging Patch database is always updated Mobile client are very handy when you want to see the update status and even to show to your clients and customers

Cons:

No custom report generator Managing Custom Groups and remote offices is not an easy task the information that you can filter in order to move machines to groups is very limited Hard to move workstations from one remote office to another

Good Program, would recommend for MSPs

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: A positive experience as this allows us to keep devices up-to-date and monitored without contact manual intervention.

Pros:

If configured correctly, it is very easy to navigate to devices and check the status of them. With the full MSP package, you can also remote into devices and perform troubleshooting and administrative work.

Cons:

Some parts of the initial configure can be hard to parse, but there is documentation available in the portal, and it is possible to get in contact with support staff who are happy to assist.

Great patch management, simple to use

4.0 11 months ago

Pros:

If you set up your automatic deployments up correctly then you barely have to actually go into the solution to make changes, this is great if you need to comply with strict patching policies where you have to install patches within days of release.

Cons:

We are a big AEC user so it would be great if it could also do Autodesk updates, but it cannot.

Great patch management system!

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: I really enjoy the experience with Patch manager and we plan on keeping the product going forward.

Pros:

I really like the patch management system overall. Its has helped us patch machines for all non-microsoft products, as well as replaced our windows update service as well!

Cons:

The only real negative is that if you do too much at once, the patching really slows down. But its not a big deal - you can work around it.

The Ultimate Multi-OS Patch Management Solution

5.0 last year

Comments: Because of its amazing value, we can add it to our current suite of solutions without having to divert a sizable portion of our cash from other cybersecurity projects. Using this tool, I can deploy changes without worrying. The dashboard is simple and simply displays pertinent information. Everything has always been top-notch, including the user interface and assistance.

Pros:

Manage Engines Patch Manager Plus is an automated multi-OS patch management system that can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud according on our requirements. It's convenient to get a fast overview of each endpoint's patch installation process. I could also display a limited set of results by using a filter.

Cons:

Too many fresh builds were made available in too short a time. It takes too long, and you also have to update the linked endpoints. Users who work remotely may wait to get updates until they are in person at the workplace. Learning the vast feature set could take some time.

A simpler life

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

I love that I can automatically approve and push out updates - in many ways, a true 'set it and forget it' application. Although I do I check in frequently to make sure our organization is in good shape.

Cons:

There are a few places where the vocabulary is not the clearest, but generally speaking that's about it. Works very well and works across all platforms.

Pros:

Ease of setup and predictability of the product was the easy wins of setting up the product. So far we haven't run into any roadblocks or downsides to the product.

Cons:

The layout of teh Admin UI seems busy, however since we are using this product for the primary scope of patching our server enivornment - it could be that for us there is more that is needed, and may be suitable for other customers.

Patch Manager Plus

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: Overall, Patch Manager Plus Cloud is a great product that fully allows us to patch all of our vulnerable systems efficiently and effortlessly.

Pros:

Patch Manager Plus Cloud is a one-stop-shop for all our Windows and 3rd Party patch management needs. The ability to both automate and manually apply required updates around our schedule is what makes this solution great.

Cons:

Although the granularity of the UI is useful, it can become a bit tedious to jump around from page to page to adjust settings/configs.

Fairly easy to use, deployment needs improvement

4.0 5 months ago

Comments: We were looking to patch the OS and applications on our Windows, Macbook, Linux and ESX computers... PMP covers everything except ESX. With a bit of reading, the interface is fairly easy to use.

Pros:

It does not interfere with the built-in patching capabilities.

Cons:

The manual installation process was clunky at best, and we had a number of issues getting the GPO deployment script to work.
