Reviews of Adobe Dreamweaver
A Decent Tool for Basic Web Development and Coding
Comments: I have been using Adobe Dreamweaver for over 10 years, and I can honestly say that it is a good program for simple web development. It can be used to create a wide variety of websites, from simple static websites to more dynamic websites and it helps me keep my pages ordered. For those who do not code, it has a WYSIWYG (What You See What You Get) feature that is helpful.
Pros:
One of the best features of Adobe Dreamweaver is the ability to preview your work in real-time. This is incredibly helpful for catching errors and typos before they go live. The feature I use the most is the source code view, which color-codes my HTML and CSS for easy readability. This software is included with the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.
Cons:
Dreamweaver's features may not be as extensive as some other open-source and free programs that offer more options for advanced web development and graphic design. Also, if you go with the stand-alone version of Dreamweaver, it can get pricey.
Alternatives Considered:
Great software if you are already invested in the Adobe Creative Cloud way of working
Comments: I use it to build fairly simple brochure sites because working with large sites can slow the the app down a lot. Overall, I find it more useful than not, but it's a case of choosing the best app for the site I want to design and develop.
Pros:
It integrates well with the rest of the Creative Cloud apps.
Cons:
The UI. It's so crowded and creates a steeper learning curve than it needs to be.
Great Software
Comments: I am very experienced on Adobe Dreamweaver I used it for many years
Pros:
Way easier to use, better features that make it better
Cons:
everything is good, this was 1 of the 1st software's I used when I started doing web design
Limited, limiting, and buggy as could be.
Comments: Between the highway robbery pricing model and the bugs and issues, I don't recommend this program to anyone. It's more trouble and expense than it's worth.
Pros:
I've been a Dreamweaver user since the Macromedia days, more than 20 years now. The convenience of being able to find your place in the code with just a click is hard to beat. That's the end of the list of pros.
Cons:
With each version of the program the quality drops. I noted that another reviewer said to works smoothly across all platforms. This is not at all true. The program on Mac is so bad that I now just use Notepad for simple things, because I won't have to struggle with Notepad. Dreamweaver is less buggy on Windows, but after all these years you'd think they'd have worked out the kinks. Support for webp, which was introduced in 2010, is still non-existent. The program will display webp images, but will not allow you to choose them from the file list because it doesn't actually recognize them as an image file. It's slow, and the cache is a constant issue that has to be addressed.
Build your Website at ease with Adobe Dreamweaver
Pros:
It is realistic, it provides many and advanced features when designing, templates
Cons:
May take up a lot of space and memory of the pc, maybe difficult to use with proper training
For almost 20 years Dreamweaver has been the defacto software for webpage design and development
Comments: For 20 years it has been my preferred software choice for web development and editing. It is irreplaceable for its webpage editing capabilities.
Pros:
Dreamweaver makes it easy to edit the coding of any webpage, be it html or php. It has an advanced coder section where you can update code only, and it also has a WYSIWYG feature where you don't need to know any coding to update a page, very similar to updating using Msft Word.
Cons:
Dreamweaver has a very steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it it's a great system for editing webpages. I wish it did have e-commerce capabilities, but there are other systems we use for that scenario.
It's result-driven but requires time and efforts to use it
Comments: It's a great tool for web development, however, it requires time and dedication to learn and it can be quite expensive too which makes it a little hard for users with low budgets to buy.
Pros:
Adobe Dreamweaver offers industry-standard designs for projects of all levels. I like it and would recommend it because it's from a popular company. Although I switched from using it for some reasons, however, there are features that I highly appreciate and respect as well. - Its code editor is fully versatile. It supports a wide array of programming languages like HTML, CSS, and Javascript which provide possibilities to perform tasks like syntax highlighting, code completion, and code validation which are super helpful when working on specific projects. - It also offers a wide range of built-in templates and libraries that help to speed up the process of web development. - Design is responsive because it provides options to test designs on various screen sizes.
Cons:
Some major challenges I had with Adobe Dreamweaver include: - ease-of-use: although Dreamweaver can be very performant, however, it's not easy to learn and master. It requires a lot of dedication commitment and practice to get acquainted with it. So I did;t find it ideal because I needed a tool that I could learn and probably start earning from within a short time. - Subscription is expensive
Dreamweaver: Dream or Nightmare?
Comments: As a graphic designer, design comes first. I am not a strong coder, so find myself searching online quite often for help. Fortunately, help is usually easy to find.
Pros:
Allows user to design and code and easily switch between the two. The different views allow the user to see what the site will look like once completed.
Cons:
If the user is not familiar with coding and website building, then Dreamweaver can be a nightmare to use. For users wanting a quick and easy site, Dreamweaver is not a good choice.
Dreamweaver for website building
Pros:
I used it to build and learn website. It is easy for beginners and very good web development tool.
Cons:
Adobe Dreamweaver is very heavy software which makes it slow in preview and It takes time to open the software.
Great for designers, not for my clients
Comments: It's great for whipping up one-page content but not for the client solutions I need.
Pros:
Adobe Dreamweaver is great for those who already have a decent knowledge of design and its nuances
Cons:
It's not something I can hand over to a client to use unless they are already fairly computer literate.
J.L. Adobe Dreamweaver Review
Comments: Adobe Dreamweaver is top-of-the-line for any web creator that wants to bring their idea out into the World Wide Web in a very unique way. By separating myself from the competition with a lot of resources to choose from, I can confidently say that I have a professional website.
Pros:
It supports coding, visual design, and dynamic content creation, making it versatile for various projects that I want to work on.
Cons:
Running Adobe Dreamweaver is only possible with a computer with fast processing speeds and no storage issues.
Fast and responsive website design and coding
Pros:
Since its inception a long time ago, Dreamweaver has been growing and adapting to new technologies in web design, it is one of the most popular tools on the market, allows you to create and manage web pages dynamically, is compatible with other Adobe tools and has functions and visual tools that help the programmer to facilitate and streamline the work of coding. It allows us to work from templates, with which we can quickly advance in the work and adaptation of websites.- It also allows us to quickly include resources from the Creative Cloud and Adobe Stock libraries which are also compatible with other Adobe programmes such as illustrator or photoshop.publishing websites from dreamweaver is simple and intuitive, as it allows us to configure the servers and work directly on it.
Cons:
Perhaps the only drawback is its price, as today there are more design and development tools which can be free and complete.
Adobe's Versatility
Pros:
Since Dreamweaver forms part of the Cloud option from Adobe, the inter-connectivity between the various apps are seamless and easy to use. The interface is also easy to understand and quickly becomes a familiar workspace. The built-in functionality is superb and make coding easy, especially the automatic error detection!
Cons:
At the moment there is nothing that I like "least' - it is simply a superb piece of software.
Easy to use HTML Editor
Comments: Overall, I do like Dreamweaver for what it does. It's handy and gives you a quick visual of your coding and if any changes need to be made.
Pros:
I like the split screen of having half source code and the other half the visual design. That allows me to quickly see the changes I make and whether or not they work for what I am trying to accomplish or not.
Cons:
I would like to see in the Design view the ability to see both a browser version of the page and a mobile version of the page from within the same view. Sometimes these don't display the same and making a change can cause one to look right and the other not. Having it on one screen would be useful.
For good reason, Dreamweaver is a key participant in the WYSIWYG web editor market.
Comments: With the use of Adobe Dreamweaver, I assist businesses in building their ideal websites. Real-time work completion is beneficial to me.
Pros:
Adobe Dreamweaver is a quick and adaptable website design program that also contains all the features needed for web coding. Wonderful features of Dreamweaver include the Live View Editing Mode, which displays the coding result in Real-Time.I adore being able to alter the perspectives. It's convenient to be able to click on the page and see the split code view appear below it. When you first start out, the drag-and-drop tool definitely comes in helpful. It also lets us view our webpage as we make changes. Another excellent feature is the ability to make transitions and have total control over each and every little aspect.
Cons:
Although I frequently use it and find it useful, I believe it should have a code error finder option, which is a fairly fundamental feature in other tools of a similar kind.
Adobe dreamweaver Review
Comments: It was the first software I used to learn website design. I currently do not use it anymore a there are tons of better web builders available today that don't even cost a penny. Still a good software if you want to learn a bot of coding and seeing how things work but it really isn't practical for me in today's world.
Pros:
It is a powerful website builder if you have to time to learn it You don't really need to know a lot of coding to use but having an idea of coding can be useful It can help youprove on your coding as it will tell you when you make a mistake immediately
Cons:
It is not always responsive enough for different platforms and browsers. Not easy to learn and adapt to. You need time and lots of practice to get used to the interface and most of its functions. Adds a ton of codes to your paragraphs that you really do not need. This affects the site you make at the end of the day when you test on different browsers.
Adobe Dreamweaver Review
Comments: Dreamnweaver provides a good starting point for people wanting to pursure web development. My web development career started with Dreamweaver and progressed to writing and editing code through a coding editor.
Pros:
Adobe Dreamweaver is a great tool for people beginning web development. It enables you to create web pages without any coding knowledge. Adobe Dreamweaver allows you to work/view your web pages with both a WYSIWYG editor (drag and drop) and a code based editor. Both methods side by side in Dreamweaver can help with learning to understand code. Adobe Dreamweaver has many pre-coded widgets that can be added to your website pages, such as buttons, video and images. What could normally take an experienced coder hours to develop can be done in minutes in Dreamweaver.
Cons:
This piece of software requires you to pay for the Adobe Creative Cloud, which is a monthly fee. This can become expensive on a monthly basis.
DreamWeaver and Adobe product user for 15 years
Comments: Fast... Easy.... Quick learning curve
Pros:
I started out in the business I'm in using DW Flash and Ps.... At the time i had no experience and no idea what i was doing. DreamWeaver then and now was easy for me to pick up and just use. Which is a primary reason i was a Master Suite user for years before the CC changes..
Cons:
If anything about adobe is an issue its the price.... However i realize value from this every day and though price is an issue it is not a deal breaker
Everything I need
Comments: Overall, Dreamweaver is perfect for me. I've tried cheaper solutions, but I can't beat the functionality and ease of use with Dreamweaver. It handles everything I've thrown at it.
Pros:
Dreamweaver is easy to use. I love that it is user-friendly. It has a clean interface and I can navigate the software with ease.
Cons:
I don't have an area that I dislike with Dreamweaver.
Adobe Dreamweaver is a dream.
Pros:
The most impactful piece to Adobe Dreamweaver is the opportunity to code probably and develop the web pieces effectively.
Cons:
The are great pieces through and through as there wasn’t anything we disliked.
Dreamy Dreamweaver
Comments: Positive. I use much of adobes other software, so Dreamweaver fit right into the pipeline.
Pros:
Editing features, drag and drop, ease of use
Cons:
Yearly cost, updates were not the cheapest or easiest
Bring your Dreams to Life
Pros:
It had a wide variety of features that web design easier even for a novice.
Cons:
I thought is was a bit expensive. And it works best on your own server than it does remotely.
Start coding with Dreamweaver
Pros:

Cons:
Need someone have more than normal skills
Dreamweaver is alright but not great
Pros:
I liked the integration with other Adobe products.
Cons:
The interface was not very flexible and comes with white background as default settings.
Adobe dreamweaver
Pros:
For me it's the most efficient software for mature web designers, it's an ideal place for beginners. It allows me to save a lot of time and to keep my professionalism
Cons:
The disadvantages I noticed are that some customizations are limited and not detailed enough
